To find Focal length of a concave lens practically :

1. Place a concave lens in front of a sunlight as sunlight will act as object at infinity distance.
2. Concave lens form a virtual image at principle focus of an Object placed at infinity.
3. Place a white screen in front of a concave lens as the image is virtual and at same side that of object.
4. Adjust the screen in such a way that a sharp and point sized image is obtained on a screen.
5. Now mark that point which is focus point of concave lens.
5. Now, for obtaining focal length measure the distance between optic centre and the focus.
