How to find fraction of a decimal with repeating number?

Take an example of 3.33333........ & 2.716716716716.......

• In the First case, write it as follows;

x = 3.3333333........ (1)

10x = 33.333333........  (2)

From (2) - (1),

9x = 30

x = 30/9 = 10/3.....

• In the Second case, write it as follows;

x = 2.716716716....... (1)

1000x = 2716.716716....... (2)

From (2) - (1)

999x = 2714

x = 2714/999

This is how this procedure it's used!!!!
