hey mate !here's ur answer
The first thing is that you have to identify the most favourable site to drill a bore well where you are most likly to get copious amount of ground water that is sustainable for some considerable period to support your agriculture and other activities in your 2 acres of land.
For this you have to contact one the best geophysicist, hydrogeologist or Groundwater bore well locating expert consultancy firms who have considerable experience in the trade of art and expertise in the groundwater spectrum of activities. And further you should search for firms / persons who use more sophisticated and recent deep probing geophysical instruments that can measure the required parameters accurately with permissible errors from deeper depths.
Normally resistivity profiling and soundings are used in these kind of ground water well siting. Dipole-Dipole profiling or single pole resistivity profiling or normal profiling methodology can be adopted for locating vertical discontinuity where likely hood of more chances to strike a better yield site exists, in hard rock terrain. In sedimentary this slightly differ, where you need to search for thick bedded water holding layers. Latter it has to be confirmed with Vertical Electrical sounding method.
