Take any Number,For example 8
Now, Firstly takeout the L.C.M of the number
It will be 2,2,2
Now,take only two similar numbers
which are 2,2 and another single 2 is left.
So H.C.F will be 2×2=4

[This was just because in H.C.F we take pairs of number and which number in which two similar numbers become a single number and is multiplied by the left no. ]
Another ex is that if the H.C.F of any no. is 3×2×3 then it will be 3×2=6.
Hope this helps:-)
