You can find the hybridization of an atom by finding its steric number: The steric number = the number of atoms bonded to the atom + the number of lone pairs the atom has. If the steric number is 4, the atom is s p 3hybridized. If the steric number is 3, the atom is s p 2 hybridized.

vanshrai015: the number of bonds or angle show tha hybridization in a compound.
for example:
in sp3 hybridization :bond angle is 109degree and single bond .
in sp2 hybridization : bond angle is 120 degree and bonds are double
in so : hybridization : bond angle is 180 degree and bonds are triple.
