✨hey mate! here's your answer!✨

Another measure of central tendency is the median, which is the middle number when listed in order from least to greatest.

now,

(1) put the numbers in order from least to greatest.

so, height of boys from least to greatest number = 1 , 2, 5, 7, 10, 12.
and, height of girls from least to greatest number = 1, 2, 5, 5, 6, 10.

(2) now our numbers are in correct order, middle term is the median, but there are two term then we will take its average!

middle term in height of boys = 5 & 7
middle term in height of girls = 5 & 5

thus, median of height of boys = (5 + 7)/2 = 12/2 = 6

median of height of girls = (5 + 5)/2 = 10/2 = 5

When looking at a data set, the median is used when there is an outlier, which is a number that is significantly greater or smaller than the rest of the data.

thus, median of height of boys is 6 and median of height of girls is 5.
hence, in comparison of both, boys are having more height than girls.

hope it is helpful ✌️!
