In order to find the median in an ogive, follow these steps...
1. Plot the points on the graph and join them with lines.
2.Find the value of N/2.
3.Mark this value in the Cumulative frequency scale (y axis).
4.Join this value to the line formed by plotting the points with dotted line .
5.Now connect this point to the point on the x axis with a straight dotted line.
6.The point where this line meets the x axis will be the median.

WE CAN UNDERSTAND IT BETTER WITH AN EXAMPLE...
In the following attachment,
Cf = 35
so N/2 will be 17.5
now we have marked 17.5 on y axis with a dotted line.
join this point to the line obtained by the plotted points with a straight dotted line.
now join it to the x axis.
It meets at 46.5 on the x axis which is the median.

Hope it helps u.... if any problem then ask in the comments section...

Finding Median Using Ogive

Less than ogive :

The points with the upper limits of the class are plotted on x axis  and

the corresponding less than cumulative frequencies on y axis.

The points are joined by free hand smooth curve to give less than cumulative frequency curve or the less than Ogive

The cumulative frequency is obtained by adding each frequency with sum of all frequencies before that.

More than ogive :

The points with the Lower limits of the class are plotted on x axis  and

the corresponding more than cumulative frequencies on y axis.

The points are joined by free hand smooth curve to give more than cumulative frequency curve or the More than Ogive

Find Median by drawing a horizontal line from N/2 on y -axis ( where N is Total Frequency) and draw  vertical line from where it cuts graph to find x coordinate of the point which is median.

If Both Less than and More than Ogive are drawn then x coordinates of their intersection gives Median.
