root 17 = 4sq. + 1sq.
take 4 as a base make 90° over it . then make an arc of 1 unit . join it point 0 with the arc. Now keep it Compas on the 0 open it to that arc come down towards the no. line and the point which u will be getting on the number line will be ur r oot7.
