The easiest and simple way to find out how much sigma bond is a compound contain is, just make the structural diagram of compound and count the single bond , double bond and triple bond ,since each single bond contain 1 sigma bond , double bond contain 1 sigma bond and also triple bond contain 1 sigma bond so you can count it like this .
