At first u just study the squares of numbers ( to 10)
then u have to study multilpication.
u can understand that
1²=1(odd number is 1)
2² =4(4)
3² =9(9)
4² =(16(6)
5²= 25(5)
6²= 36(6)
7²=49(9)
8²=64(4)
9²=81(1)
10²=100(0)
now u can find roots easily,
eg. √1681=
In this number (1) is the place of odd number. we know that it will be a number that's odd number is 1 or 9
4*4=16
so we can easily calcuculate 40*40=1600
1681 is near the number 1600
so 1681's root is 41
