⭐《QUESTION》
↗To find the oxidation sate of Oxygen in Na2O2 ?
⭐《ANSWER》
↪Actually welcome to the Concept of the Oxidation states of an atom
↪Basically , before solving we know that ....
↪as a primary oxidation state, Na i.e sodium has a +1 oxidation state in its natural occurrence.
↪so taking "X" as the oxidation state of the oxygen we get as
↪2 (1) + 2 (X) = 0
↪so further , since there is no total charge on the compound, we equate it to Zero
↪=》 2 + 2X = 0
↪=》 2x = -2
↪=》 X = -1
〽so here the Oxidation state of the oxygen is -1
