Solution:-

By Remainder Theorem we can find the Quotient if divisor dividend remainder is known from an equation.

Explanation:-

Remainder Theorem State that;

( Divident ) = ( Divisor ) × ( Quotient ) + ( Remainder ).

Examples:-

Q. 2x²−5x−1 divided by x−3.

=) P (x) = 2x²−5x−1

=) P ( 3 ) = 2(3)² - 5(3) - 1

=) P(3) = 2×9 - 15 - 1

=) P(3) = 18 - 16

=) P(3) = 2

Now, By Remainder Theorem.

Let's Find out the Divident whether it's correct or not.

=) Divident = Divisor × Quotient + Remainder

=) Divident = ( x - 3) ( 2x + 1) + 2

=) Divident = 2x² + x - 6x - 3 + 2

=) Divident = 2x² - 5x - 1

Hence Verified!
