How to find rational number between 1/2 and root 1?

Given : $\frac{1}{2}$  and $\sqrt{1}$ are the two rational numbers.

Find: A rational number between them.

       ⇒($\frac{1}{2}$ + $\sqrt{1}$)/2

       ⇒($\frac{1}{2}$ +1)/2

       ⇒($\frac{3}{2}$)/2

       ⇒$\frac{3}{4}$

∴Rational number between the two numbers is $\frac{3}{4}$.

∴Rational number between 1/2 and 1 is 3/4

Solution:

1) Rational Numbers are the numbers which can be represented in p/q form, where p and q are the integers and q should not be equals to zero. Some of the examples of rational numbers are 2, 5, 7.9, 3/5, 6/8 etc.

2) 1/2 can be represented as 0.5.

3) $\sqrt{1}$ is 1 only.

4) so the rational numbers between 0.5 and 1 are 0.6, 0.7, 0.8, 0.9

Rational numbers between 1/2 and √1 are 0.6, 0.7, 0.8, 0.9.
