Given : \frac{1}{2}  and \sqrt{1} are the two rational numbers.

Find: A rational number between them.

       ⇒(\frac{1}{2} + \sqrt{1})/2

       ⇒(\frac{1}{2} +1)/2

       ⇒(\frac{3}{2})/2

       ⇒\frac{3}{4}

∴Rational number between the two numbers is \frac{3}{4}.

∴Rational number between 1/2 and 1 is 3/4

Given:

1/2 and \sqrt{1}

To find:

Rational numbers between 1/2 and \sqrt{1}.

Solution:

1) Rational Numbers are the numbers which can be represented in p/q form, where p and q are the integers and q should not be equals to zero. Some of the examples of rational numbers are 2, 5, 7.9, 3/5, 6/8 etc.

2) 1/2 can be represented as 0.5.

3) \sqrt{1} is 1 only.

4) so the rational numbers between 0.5 and 1 are 0.6, 0.7, 0.8, 0.9

Rational numbers between 1/2 and √1 are 0.6, 0.7, 0.8, 0.9.
