In case of same dinominator-
dinominator will be same and numernator will change .i.e-4÷11,5÷11,6÷11 etc.
In the case of different denominator-
3÷11+1÷3\2=20/33.
Hope it will help u,happy new year in advance..........

Hello,

If a and b be two rational numbers such that a < b then 1/2 (a + b) is a rational number between a and b.

for same denominator :

1/2×(-3/11+8/11);

=1/2×(-3+8/11);

=1/2×5/11;

=5/22

Hence,5/22 is a ration number lying between -3/11 and 8/11

for different denominator :

1/2×(-3/7+1/3);

=1/2×(-9+7/21);

=1/2×(-2/21);

=-1/21

Hence,-1/21 is a ration number lying between -3/7 and 1/3

bye :-)
