e.g
if area is 30 sq.cm and base is 12 cm ( perimeter)
then find height
ans: area of triangle = ½ ×base×height
30= ½ × 12×height
30×2 ÷ 1×12
60÷ 12
=5 cm
so height = 5cm
now we have height and base now separate triangles and it becomes right angled triangle
now by pythagoras theorem
- (hypotenuse)² = ( base)² + (height)²
- (h)²= ( 12)² + (5)²
- (h)²= 144 + 25
- (h)² = 169
- ( hypotenuse)² = (13)².....(now cancel square both side )
- hypotenuse = 13
so side =13 ...
sides of triangle are 12 ,13 , and 13
