first you will have to find the discriminant of the equation by using b^2 - 4ac ..
if the answer is a perfect root of some number then your answer will be real ... if the root is not a perfect root of some number then your answer will consist of so.e complex no like √2 etc..
after finding the D ..
put on the formula -b +_ √ b^2 - 4ac
