to find the square of a number, we multiply the number by itself
example:- we hv to find the square of 2
so in this case we have to multiply 2
by 2 which is 4

and to find the square root of a number wewe have to divide that number by 2
example:- we hv to find the square root of 4 so
in this case we have to divide 4 by 2
which will be 2
