prime factorisation - Factorise the number . Then make pairs of the similar factors. For eg, if the prime factors are 2×2×3×3 then you write it as 2×3= 6
therefore, 6 is the square root
Long division method- write the no. of which you have to find the square root. Then make pairs of 2 from the last. For eg, 121= 1 21. It does not matter if the no. in the front is single
then check if the initial number or pair is a square of any number. In this case, the initial no is 1. It is bot the square of any number, so we write 1 only. it is like simple division. then you take the divisor and quotient as when and write one under the dividend 1

You get 0. Then bring down 21. Add the previous divisor and quotient i.e 1+1 = 2 or multiply the quotient till obtained by 2. The result would be same in both cases i.e. 2.
