If you want to get the Tan inverse of a number, search for the number in the table, then read the corresponding angle
Remember, the decimal point is only put in the first number in a row, the rest of the numbers in the row should have the same number before the decimal point
For example, the first number in row 1 is 1.192, the number that follows is 196, but it should be read as 1.96. The number that follows is 1.200
Example
Find the Tan inverse of 1.632
Solution
I will look at the first column in the region where we have 1.,
Search for 632
Read the whole number angle on the left and the decimal part at the top
On the left we have 58
At the top we have 0.5
Tan Inverse of 1.632 = 58.5 degrees
