How to find the ans of the value of x if the average of 9,6,x,7,11,6 in 8

Given Average of the data = 8

Total no. of terms = 6

Sum of observations = 9 + 6 + x + 7 + 11 + 6 = 39 + x


as \: we \: know \: that \: \\ \\ mean \: (average) \: = \frac{sum \: of \: observations}{ total \: no. \: of \: observations} \\ \\ therefore \: \\ \\ \frac{sum \: of \: observations}{total \: number \: of \: observations} = 8 \\ \\ \frac{39 + x}{6} = 8 \\ \\ 39 + x = 8 \times 6 \\ \\ 39 + x = 48 \\ \\ x = 48 - 39 \\ \\ x = 9
