Just subtract area of circle by area of square

Find the area of the circle by using the formula :

\pi r^2\\

Now the diagonal of the square will be the diameter of the circle.

Find the side calculating with the formula:

d=√2*a

where d=diameter=2r or diagonal of square

Once you find a the side of square:

Calculate its area by:

a^2

You will get area of square.

If you want to calculate the remaining area of the circle outside the square:

subtract area of square from area of circle.

Hope it helps.

By the way if it is not mentioned in the question take the value of pi to be 22/7.
