side a=10cm. Now the area of an octagon formua is 2*a^2*(1+_/2) =2*10^2*(1+_/2) =2*100*(1+_/2) =200*(1+_/2)

In a regular octagon , 8 equilateral triangles with side 8cm can be drawn. So area of octagon = 8 × area of triangles.

side = 10cm

Area = 8✓3/4 × 10² ( area of equilateral triangle =✓3/4 × a²)

= 8✓3/4×100
= 8✓3×25
=200✓3 cm²
