how to find the density of an irregular stone? ​

Answer:

1st step : measure the mass of the stone using beam balance. Let that mass be 'M'

2nd step : take a beaker full of water and gently drop the stone in the beaker. Collect the water overflown, into a measuring cylinder, caused due to the immersion of the stone.

The volume of the displaced water will give you the volume of the stone. Let it be 'V'

Now using those measurements

Density of the stone = M/V

Please pay attention to units.

Note : If the stone is hollow from inside this method doesn't work
