Answer:

Step(1):

We know, Area of circle = πr²

By substituting the area of circle.

In last we will get the value of r(radius).

Step(2):

By the value of r.

Circumference of the circle can be find.

Formula is 2πr.

Diameter=2r

In this way you can get circumference and diameter.

________________________________

6.16=πr²

r²= 6.16/3.14

r²=1.96 (approx)

r=1.4 m

Circumference=2πr

=2π×1.4

=8.792 cm

Diameter=2r

=2×1.4

=2.8 cm

GIVEN:

  • Area of circle = 6.16 m²

TO FIND:

  • What is the diameter and circumference of the circle ?

SOLUTION:

Let the radius of the circle be 'r' m

We know that the formula for finding the area of circle is:-

\large{\boxed{\bf{\star \: AREA = \pi r^2 \: \star}}}

According to question:-

On putting the given values in the formula, we get

Take π = 22/7

\sf{\longrightarrow 6.16 = \dfrac{22}{7} \times r^2}

\sf{\longrightarrow \dfrac{6.16 \times 7}{22} = r^2 }

\sf{\longrightarrow \cancel\dfrac{43.12}{22} = r^2 }

\sf{\longrightarrow 1.96 = r^2 }

\bf{\longrightarrow 1.4 \: m = r}

We know that, Diameter is double of radius

  • Diameter = 2 \times Radius

\sf{\longrightarrow Diameter = 2 \times 1.4 }

\bf{\longrightarrow Diameter = 2.8 \: cm }

  • Circumference = 2πr

\sf{\longrightarrow Circumference = 2 \times \dfrac{22}{7} \times 1.4 }

\sf{\longrightarrow Circumference = \cancel\dfrac{6.16}{7} }

\bf{\longrightarrow Circumference = 8.8 \: m }
