For factors of a 3 degree polynomial for first factor we need trial and error method you may use following to get first factor by trial and error

(1) the products of roots is (constant)/(coefficient of x^3)

(2) you can try making graph with two points such that (let polynomial be f(x)) f(a)<0 f(b)>0 you will get any c between a anb for which f(c)=0

Divide f(x) by (x-c) you will get quadratic you can factorise that easily
