We can use the lens formulae

1/v-1/u=1/f

Where u= object distance.
v= image distance & f=focal length.

Object distance is measured in negative.
Image distance is measured as positive in convex lens and negative in concave lens.
And focal length is positive for convex lens and negative for concave lens.
