we can find the focal length of convex lens experimental ly by u - v method
distance between lens and object is u.
distance between lens and image is v.
substitute in lens formula to get answer.

for this we have a special method called uv method.
where, U=object distance
V=image distance
PROCEDURE OF EXPERIMENT
-Take a candle and place it 60cm away from a convex lens such that it lies along the PA.
- Now the most important part is adjust the screen so that you can take the readings of image distance and object distance carefully.
- Now, after getting 3 to 4 readings you can find the focal length from the mean of the values.
