How to find the formula for potassium carbonate?

As we know,
Potassium is symbolised as K
&
Carbonate having the formula CO3
Potassium have valency +1
&
Carbonate have valency -2
(I had use criss-cross valency method for forming the formula)
To form the formula
=>Write the metal (here potassium is the metal) first with it's valency.
=>Then write the non metal part (here Carbonate is non metallic) with it's valency.
=>And then criss cross between them.
=>The formula u get will be the required formula.
