Answer: if the denominator of the fraction divides the numerator completely, leaving remainder 0, then it is a terminating fraction otherwise if a remainder is left then it is a non terminating fraction. If a non terminating fraction repeated the digits after particular intervals then it is called a non terminating recurring fraction . For example, in 5.467246724672 the digits 4672 are repeated after regular intervals.
