the direction of slope of a map is the direction in which the river is flowing...or observe the ascending or descending order of the spot heights or any other types of heights. the direction of that order is the direction. of the slope of the map.

Vihi2102: No it’s not
shrutiagarwal209: then what is it?
shrutiagarwal209: pls tell

If the spot heights are in the north of the map, the general slope of the map will be "The land slopes from north to south".

But I think for determining the general slope of the map, you should note the direction of flow of the main river or general rivers in the map. If the river flows from east to west then the general slope of the map will be east to west.

If they ask you for a particular area, it’s better to check the direction of flow of the river (if any river is present in the area mentioned) than spot heights.
Else go for spot heights.
hope it helps
best of luck
