step 1 :- first factorise all given polynomial .
example :- given two polynomial ,
x² -5x +6 and x -3
then, factorisation of x² -5x +6 =(x-3)(x -2)
step2 :- take common factors in all factorosation , give HCF of given polynomial .
from above example
common factor = (x -3)
so, HCF of { x²-5x +6 , x -3} = (x -3)

step3 :- take lowest common factor .
give LCM of given polynomial.
example :- x² -5x +6 = (x -2)(x -3).1
(x -3) = (x -3).1
so, Lowest common factor= (x -2)(x -3)
so, LCM = x² -5x +6

thegr8nd: i am unable to get through the third step......plzz help me to understand
abhi178: let 8 and 4 given of you
abhi178: then ask what is LCM of its
abhi178: then you first find factor of this
abhi178: 8 = 2×2×2 and 4 =2×2
abhi178: now, here lowest common factor = 2×2×2
thegr8nd: abhi not this question
abhi178: in simple way you understand ,
thegr8nd: okkkkkkkkkk
abhi178: LCM is that lowest number which is divisible by all given number
