how to find the lcm and hcf of numbers in a simple way

For finding HCF:
Find all prime factors of both numbers.Write both numbers as a multiplication of prime numbers.Find which factors are repeating in both numbers and multiply them to get  H.C.F 
For finding LCM:
Find all the prime factors of both numbers.Multiply all the prime factors of the larger number by those prime factors of the smaller number that are not already included.
