here's your answer

Perimeter= Length * Breadth

suppose we take some specific values

40= x*5

40/5=x

8=x

so just divide perimeter by the breadth

hope this helps u

we know the formula for the perimeter of the rectangle

that is 2 length +2 breadth  or 2(length +breadth)

if the breadth and the perimeter of the rectangle is given we can find the length by the following method

2 length+2 breadth = the perimeter of the rectangle

2 length  = the perimeter of the rectangle/2 breadth

length =the perimeter of the rectangle/2 breadth * 2

length = the perimeter of the rectangle/4 breadth

or or or

2(length +breadth)  =  the perimeter of the rectangle

length +breadth =  the perimeter of the rectangle /2

length =  answer obtained by  the perimeter of the rectangle /2 minus breadth
