Circumference = 2πr
= π2r
= π×diameter. (2×radius=diameter)
diameter = circumference/π
diameter = 44/(22/7)
diameter = (44×7)/22
diameter = 14cm

Step-by-step explanation:

GIVEN :-

  • Circumference of Circle = 44 cm.

TO FIND :-

  • The diameter of Circle.

SOLUTION :-

 \\ :   \implies \displaystyle \sf \:Circumference = 2\pi r \\  \\  \\

 :   \implies \displaystyle \sf \: 44 \: cm = 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times r \\  \\  \\

 :   \implies \displaystyle \sf \: \dfrac{44}{2} =  \frac{22}{7}  \times r \\  \\  \\

 :   \implies \displaystyle \sf \: 22=  \frac{22}{7}  \times r \\  \\  \\

 :   \implies \displaystyle \sf \: r =  \frac{22 \times 7}{22}  \\  \\  \\

 :   \implies \displaystyle \sf \: r = 7 \times 1 \\  \\  \\

 :   \implies \underline{ \boxed{ \displaystyle \sf \: r = 7 \: cm}} \\  \\

As we know that the relation between diameter and the radius of the circle is given by,

 :   \implies \displaystyle \sf \: d = 2r \\  \\  \\

 :   \implies \displaystyle \sf \: d = 2 \times 7 \\  \\  \\

 :   \implies \underline{ \boxed{ \displaystyle \sf \: \bold{ d = 14\: cm}}}
