you can use formulas
if equation y=f(x)
then ds/dx= [1+(dy/dx)^2]^1/2
x=f(y)
ds/dy= [1+(dx/dy)^2]^1/2
if equation y=f(x)
then ds/dx= [1+(dy/dx)^2]^1/2
x=f(y)
ds/dy= [1+(dx/dy)^2]^1/2
