Formula = L + (N/2-cf)/f*h

where..... L= lower limit of median group.
N= number of terms.
cf= cumulative frequency.
f= frequencyof median group.
h= measure of class interval.

To find median in a grouped interval data we have formula

median \:  = l + ( \frac{ \frac{n}{2}  - cf}{f} ) \times h
Where,

l=lower limit of median class.

n=total number of frequency.

cf=Cumulative frequency of the previous class of median class.

f=frequency of the median class.

h=class size
=>How to select median class?

A.To select median class we divide the total number of frequency by 2.

The number which come after dividing,we find that no. in Cumulative frequency where it lies.

Where it lies is the median class.
