How to find the ratio of the following?
(a) Speed of a cycle 15km per hour to the speed of scooter 30km per hour
(b) 5 m to 10 km
(c) 50 paise to rupees 5.

Solution 1.)

S1 = 15 km/h

S2 = 30 km/h

S1 : S2 = 15 : 30

= 1 : 2

Solution 2.)

D1 = 5 m

D2 = 10 km = 10000 m

D1 : D2 = 5 : 10000

= 1 : 2000

Solution 3.)

M1 = 50 paise

M2 = Rs 5 = 500 paise

M1 : M2 = 50 : 500

= 1 : 10

a) Required ratio- 15/30 = 1/2 =1:2
b) Required ratio - 5/10 = 1/2 = 1:2
C) Required ratio - 50/500 = 1/10 = 1:10
