how to find the resistance which is connected in series or parallel

In series Req. =R1 + R2
and in parallel 1/R =1/R1 +1/R2

always the resistance in series is R1, R2 ,R3, etc. the resistance in parallel is 1/R1 ,1/R2, 1/R2 etc .... apply the value and u will get the answer. .
