Explanation
First of all Understand the concept. You have been given area SO WE CAN FIND SIDE. Once we find side we can easily Calculate Perimeter. Hence, we can solve the sum!

Mathematical Implementation
Area of Square= a²
Let's say area is Given to us as 25cm².

So, Let's find out side of square first:
Area of square = a²
25=a²
Squaring both sides,
√25=a
a=5 cm [5 is square of 25]

Now We Have the side of Square that is 5 cm.
Let's find out Perimeter of square.

Perimeter of square =4a
a=5 cm
Perimeter of square = 4×5
= 20 cm

We are done!
Answer
Side:5cm
Perimeter :20 cm

Note :This is for Square and doesn't imply for rectangle. For Rectangle you need to Put the formula of Rectangle and the remaining process is same.

Hope it Helps!

Given:

The measure of the area of a square.

To Find:

The side length and the perimeter of the square using the area of the square.

Solution:

The given problem can be solved using the formulae of the area and perimeter of a square.

1. Let the area of the square be X square units.

2. The area of a square with the side length s units is given by the formula,

=> Area of the square  = s * s ,

=> Area of the square = s² square units.

3. Using the above formula, the side length of the square can be found,

=> X = (side length)*(side length),

=> side length = √(X) units.

=> Hence, the value of the side length is calculated.

4. The perimeter of a square of side s units is given by the formula,

=> Perimeter of the square = 4*s,

5. Using the above formula, the perimeter of the square can be found,

=> Side length = √(X) units,

=> Perimeter of the square is 4*√(X) = 4 √(X) units.

Therefore, the length of the side and the perimeter of the square of area X units are √(X) and 4√(X) units respectively.
