How to find the slope of a line normal to parabola?

easy

just find -dx/dy at that point

for example for a parabola

y^2=4x

the slope of normal at(1,2) will be

2y. dydx=4

dy/dx=4/2y

-dx/dy= -y/2

=-2/2

=-1

m=-1
