how to find the valency of radical co3(carbonate) is there any way that we can find the valency of radicals without muging up there valency

there is no way to by heart the valency of co3
valency of co3 is 2-
 a trick to remember some of the valencies is : radicals like co3, so4 ,so3 etc are 2- but if H is added the valency becomes 1- like Hco3 1-, Hso3 1- , Hso4 1-
note the trick is not for all radicals only for some
