The value of root 2 is 1.414. Using the division method, we may find the value of √2

by long division

look at the above picture

.so now at first u have to pair no.s from the backwards,so here we have taken 10 zeroes so we have grouped those 10 zeroes and atlast 2 is remaining(u can take zeroes according to the no. place u want for the root of 2)

now we have 2 alone we are gonna take that and take the square of any no. near or equal to 2 .we know that square of 1 is 1 so we are gonna take that and write 1 *1

u can see we have wrote one on quotient and divisor

now we are gonna add the no. present in the quotient and divisor i.e 2

and write it on the place of next divisor

now we are gonna leave space after the divisor kind of draw a block ok...

then write down the remainder ,only take 2 zeroes downwards

now try to put some values on the place of that block and put the same value on the box in the quotient as given in the second fig I have given so that when the quotient and divisor is multiplied u get near or exact value as the current remainder

repeat the steps again and again until u get the value u need( I mean the no.places)

hope this helps PLZZ mark me as brainliest
