AnsweR :-

Let, p(x)=x²+ax+b. a,b are the roots of p(x).

∴, a+b=-a/1

or, a+b=-a

or, 2a+b=0 -----------(1)

ab=b/1

or, ab=b

or, a=1

Putting in (1),

2×1+b=0

or, b=-2

∴, a=1, b=-2
