Solution:

___________________

Two intercepts form:

x/a+y/b = 1 ,

where ,

x-intercept = a

y-intercept = b

We have to convert given equation y = 4x-2 into

x/a+y/b = 1 form.

Now ,

y = 4x -2

=> -4x+y = -2

Divide each term by (-2),we get

=> (-4x)/(-2)+y/(-2) = (-2)/(-2)

=> 2x+y/(-2) = 1

=> x/(1/2) + y/(-2) = 1

Therefore,

x-intercept = a = 1/2

y-intercept = b = -2
