How to find third vertex of isosceles triangle?

In an isosceles triangle two sides are equal which means that the angles opposite to them will also be equal as angles opposite to equal sides are equal. So if we take one of the equal angles as 'x' then there the other equal angle will also be 'x' so to fund the third angle we need to use angle sum property of a triangle. let the third angle be 'y'.

Hence,

x + x + y = 180° (Angle sum property of a triangle)

2x + y = 180°

y = 180 - 2x.
