Let\ the\ resistors\ are\ R_1,\ R_2,\ R_3, ....,R_n \\ If\ they\ are\ connected\ in\ parallel\ in\ a\ circuit,\ effective\ resistance\

 \frac{1}{R_p}  =  \frac{1}{R_1} +\frac{1}{R_2} +\frac{1}{R_3} +....+\frac{1}{R_n}

If\ they\ are\ connected\ in\ series\ in\ a\ circuit,\ effective\ resistance\

R_s =R_1+R_2+R_3+.....+R_n

let the total no of resistors be n
so if they are connected in series , equivalent resistance is :
R=R₁+R₂+R₃......R_{n}
and if they are connected in parallel,the equivalent resistance:
 \frac{1}{R} = \frac{1}{ R_{1} }  \frac{1}{ R_{2}}......  \frac{1}{ R_{1} {n}}
