•Transitive:Having noun.It means 'passing over'. For example:

1.He kicks the ball.

2.The rainbow colours the entire sky.

3.Teacher is submitting the books.

•Intransitive:Verb that denotes action and not 'passing over'.For example:

1.He ran a long distance.

2.The baby sleeps.

3.He walks.

Hope it helps!!
