Lines intersect only when there is some angle between them...if there is some angle between them so they must meet at a point...This point is called Point of intersection..
If there is no angle between the lines I.e, 0 degree , then lines are said to be parallel...
Parallel lines are those lines which never meet at a point and distance between them is always same...
Example
See the adjacent sides/lines of your Notebook...you will find they meet at a point..I.e, Corner point...
observe Opposite sides/limes of your notebook, these lines are parallel lines..they never meet at any point and distance between them is same..
So if you find any angle between the lines..then they must be intersecting lines..else they are parallel...
