18+2x²+12x=0,

2(9+x²+6x)=0,

then

x²+6x+9=0,

x²+(3+3)x+9=0,

(x+3)(x+3)=0,

(x+3)²=0,

then

x+3=0,

x=-3

Given equation :- 2x² + 12x + 18 = 0

To find the value of x

Now ,

2x² + 12x + 18 = 0

=> 2 ( x² + 6x + 9 ) = 0

=> x² + ( 3 + 3 )x + 9 = 0 [ • 9 = 3 × 3 ]

=> x² + 3x + 3x + 9 = 0

=> x ( x + 3 ) + 3 ( x + 3 ) = 0

=> ( x + 3 ) ( x + 3 ) = 0

=> ( x + 3 )² = 0

=> x + 3 = 0

=> x = - 3 [ ★ Required answer ]
