How to get 17 from 1,9,5,4 and 13 from 1,2,3,5 same way???

Answer:

1,9,5,4

9+5+4-1 =17

1,2,3,5

5*2=10

10+3=13

13*1=13

I do think that you maybe meant 18 instead of 17

If so, What you can do is

Taking the numbers to be in the series as given,

We have 9,1,5,4 u multiply the first and last digits.......and add the number other than 1....i.e.5....u shall get 18

Next taking 3,1,2,5, u apply the same method.......multiply the first n last digits.....and add the number left other than 1......i.e.....2 and u shall get 13
